OVERVIEW  The Telegraph Typeface is a project for a local record store in downtown New London, CT. The primary objective was to create a distinct type based on the product of the store to be used as a visually distinct brand element featured in promotional posters around the city. Through meetings with the collaborator, displaying the store’s unique range of music became the primary objective “from Vivaldi to Nine Inch Nails.”

CONCEPT  Concept The typeface utilizes a 3×3 grid of album covers and record discs. Each letter is a visual amalgamation of musical genres, resulting in a typeface deeply rooted in the essence of the record store.
